Brooklyn District Attorney's Office Community Service
The Kings County District Attorney's office offers more than 30 community outreach programs for teens, senior citizens, parents, battered women, students, individuals with disabilities and many others. This initiative is committed to crime prevention, intervention and rehabilitative programs for the Brooklyn community.
Diaspora Community Services is a neighborhood office site and these services are offered on Thursday's between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Women's Supportive Services (WSS)
The Women’s Supportive Services (WSS) Program at Diaspora Community Services provides supportive counseling to women living with HIV/AIDS and their families. The WSS Program utilizes an empowering framework, and believes in the innate abilities of individuals to grow, heal and transform themselves and their communities.
The WSS Program views clients holistically and offers counseling services aimed at supporting the individual and their family. Individual counseling sessions are a collaborative process where clients address issues impacting their pathway to success; family counseling, crisis intervention counseling and advocacy work are also a part of the WSS experience. A diverse curriculum of support groups and community activities and events aim to nurture the body, mind, and soul and further support community connectedness.

**The Uninsured Care Programs are required by law to provide information to our participants about our responsibility to keep information they send to us private and confidential. The "Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act" (HIPAA) of 1996 requires that we make this notice available. This notice describes the conditions under which we can share information with other people and for what reasons. This notice also tells our participants what their rights are under HIPAA. We are committed to keeping participant personal information private.
